General Objectives of the Course

Analysis of quality of life (QoL) and cost, which are important factors in economic evaluation for health, has different characteristics from those usually treated in epidemiology and public health. Therefore, analytical methods have been developed mainly in the fields of psychometrics for QoL and econometrics for cost, according to their characteristics. In this lecture, we will learn about various topics of QoL and cost evaluation methods from not only experts in epidemiology and health l technology assessment, but also specialists in a wide range of fields such as psychology and economics.

This course will have both online (real-time) and face-to-face lecture sessions. The first lecture on Thursday, October 5 is scheduled to be a face-to-face lecture, but will be changed to online depending on the status of the new coronavirus infection. The schedule for online and face-to-face lectures will be announced at the first lecture.
