Course DescriptionThe Seminar is central to activities at SFC where faculty members and students work together on a diversity of issues as a prelude to the Graduation Project. At SFC, students do not merely learn answers to given problems. Education at SFC aims to nurture and send out leaders of the future who are able to identify problems and create methods of resolving them. Through participation in such research, students work on real problems in society and gain a high level of expertise, and with this in hand, they embark on their Graduation Project that will be their "fruit of designing the future" as well as a personal proposal as they advance towards the future as individuals.

Course Summary

Students interested in gender-related topics come together to broaden their perspectives, deepen their understanding through discussions, and work on projects that lead to external actions aimed at addressing gender issues.

Course Description/Objectives/Teaching Method/Intended Learning Outcome

The students will exchange their opinions and learn from one another on various gender-related topics. At the same time, students will work on projects aimed at promoting understanding of gender issues and raising awareness, leading to external actions.

The instructor has nearly 20 years of experience working in central government agencies (Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare and the Cabinet Secretariat) and local government, where she was involved in the planning and development of various policies to promote gender equality.
