Course Summary

Urban Fabrication Lab

Course Description/Objectives/Teaching Method/Intended Learning Outcome

Through the creation of “public items for the city that encourage people to lead the way into the future,” we will pioneer new alternative design methods that transcend the limitations of conventional product design and industrial design through practice. In addition, the concept of “problem finding and problem solving,” which SFC has been upholding, will be deconstructed and a new mindset of “leading the transition toward a desirable future” (the basic spirit of Transition Design) will be acquired.
