Course Summary

We take on the challenge of creating practical knowledge on effective platform design in local communities through practice in various regions. A platform is a communication infrastructure that brings about social emergence through the interaction of diverse actors. Through action research, we will clarify concrete measures on how to design such platforms so that collaboration between various people can take place and new activities and values can be generated.
In this study group, each person is asked to demonstrate their entrepreneurial spirit and either belong to an existing research project or set up their own research project to practise Project Based Learning. On top of this, theoretical research in various academic fields, particularly business administration and platform studies, will be conducted, incorporating ‘KAIDOKU', in which everyone discusses their positions thoroughly on an equal footing. As a final outcome, the students will present their findings at the Isagai-lab Research Forum (IRF), the unique research presentation meeting of our research lab. It is our wish to promote policy studies from the perspective of a platform.
We hope that your studies and practices in the study group will cultivate your zest for life and provide you with an opportunity to think about how to live in a confusing society. We hope that your energy will lead to the vitality of society.
