Course Summary
In this research group, we study various aspects of urban space. Our focus includes themes such as public space, public art, urban history, redevelopment, and concepts like smart cities and compact cities. Through these themes, we explore how elements such as transportation, politics, and culture influence the spatial and temporal composition of urban environments. Additionally, by analyzing specific examples of urban spaces and architecture, we aim to clarify the relationship between users of spaces and the designed environment, thereby deepening our understanding of the evolution and current state of urban spaces.
Using group work, discussions and presentations, students are encouraged to analyse their spatial experience by applying theoretical concepts they learned about.
