Course Contents/Objectives/Teaching Method/Intended Learning Outcome
Why do organizations need to change their management ways? There are huge number of barriers to organizational change. That is why organizational change needs people-centric change management method. This course aims to academically explore why organizational change is necessary and tough for any types of organizations as well as how it should be managed. They will be discussed from various angles such as leadership, organizational structure, job design, organizational culture etc.
Japanese and British case studies are examined to see how organizations handle hardship in the change management.
Students are expected to develop critical thinking of theories introduced in respective theme as well as to articulate own original ideas to manage barriers to organizational change.
