| Course Description | The Institute of Cultural and Linguistic Studies offers elementary, intermediate, and literature reading courses in various Asian and North African languages (12 languages, including ancient languages) and Japanese Sign Language. These are language courses open to all faculties (with course requirements determined by each faculty's regulations). These courses are intended for students interested in the societies and cultures where the languages are used and in research into those societies and culture, as well as for students who are interested in language and linguistic research and wish to study a wide range of languages. This course teaches the basics of Burmese to the uninitiated. |
