Course Contents/Objectives/Teaching Method/Intended Learning Outcome

情報システムの構築に際し、正しいデータベース設計はシステムの開発、運用、保守の効率、信頼性等に決定的な影響を持つ。インターネットオンライン商取引システムの構築などでも同様であり、データベースを正しく設計し、それにデータを入出力するアプリケーションを加えればシステムの骨格はほぼ完成する。この科目では、関係データモデルの基礎から始め、関数従属性などの理論的な基礎を踏まえてデータベースの正規化理論と実践的な応用を学ぶ。教室での講義ばかりでなく、計算機実習室でのSQLの実習やプログラミング実習などを織り交ぜ、課題に対してレポートを提出する。
