This class is for anyone interested in foreign languages and intercultural experiences. It explores the close relationship between language and culture from the perspective of psychology. We will see that language is not simply a mental code - it is embodied and is closely related to cultural meanings. We will try to understand the psychological power of language and culture learning--how it can be frustrating but also life changing.
