授業の目的と到達目標
This course aims to study unique aspects of intellectual property (IP) law and policies in Japan from the comparative law perspective. Japan’s Ministry of economy, Trade and Industry (METI) adopted the Cool Japan Strategy to promote unique products made in Japan and revised IP laws to product such products. Focusing on products covered by the strategies such as software games, animation, Kawaii fashion, food, the course will examine how these products are protected by IP rights in Japan in comparison with IP protection in U.S. and Europe.
